Cinemalaya 2011 Will Have Two Venues for the First Time

Cinemalaya, now on its seventh year, in our opinion, is still the biggest and most-anticipated independent film festival in the country. This year, it plans to be even better and larger by having screenings at two separate venues for the first time. The venues will be at the Cultural Center of the Philippines or better known to locals as the CCP and at the Greenbelt 3 cinemas. This year, 31 independent films will compete in three categories. The GB3 screenings will be from July 16-24, 2011 while CCP will hold the opening and awards nights on July 15 and July 24 respectively.

For more information, you can visit the official CCP website at www.culturalcenter.gov.ph and Cinemalaya's official website at www.cinemalaya.org
