WATCH: It's a Totally Different Game in JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE Debut Trailer

The game has clearly changed in the debut trailer of "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle". Controversial or not, instead of a board game, the cursed game is now a vintage video game. Still, it's not clear how the movie will explain the skimpy outfit of Karen Gillan's character or how this will tie-up with the previous "Jumanji" film as it touts to feature a connection with Alan Parrish played by the late Robin Williams.

In "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever. The film will also feature Nick Jonas and Bobby Cannavale.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International and is opening soon in Philippine cinemas.
