WATCH: The Latest Horror Figure in Cinema Unveils Herself in THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA Trailer Debut

Have you heard of the weeping woman? To some she’s just a folktale but next year, hear her weep for real. La Llorona or The Weeping Woman is a horrifying apparition caught between Heaven and Hell and trapped in a terrible fate sealed by her own hand. The mere mention of her name has struck terror around the world for generations. In the film, it is the 1970s in Los Angeles and unfortunately for the children of the city, La Llorona is stalking the night. Ignoring the eerie warning of a troubled mother suspected of child endangerment, a social worker and her own kids are soon drawn into a frightening supernatural realm. Their only hope to survive La Llorona’s deadly wrath may be a disillusioned priest and the mysticism he practices to keep evil at bay, on the fringes where fear and faith collide. The film is produced by Emile Gladstone, Gary Dauberman, and James Wan. Michael Chaves, who won Shriekfest’s Best Super Short Film in 2016 for “The Maiden,” makes his feature directorial debut. The film stars Linda Cardellini, Raymond Cruz, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, Sean Patrick Thomas, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, and Roman Christou.
New Line Cinema presents An Atomic Monster/Emile Gladstone Production, “The Curse of La Llorona.” The film is distributed in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Pictures, a WarnerMedia Company.
