WATCH: First Trailer for the Movie Adaptation of THE GOLDFINCH Unveiled

Warner Bros. Pictures and Amazon Studios have released the first trailer for their film adaptation of the globally acclaimed best-selling novel by Donna Tartt, “The Goldfinch”. The drama is directed by BAFTA Award winner John Crowley and features a multi-generational cast led by Ansel Elgort as Theo Decker and Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Barbour. In the film, Theodore “Theo” Decker was 13 years old when his mother was killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention and redemption, and even love. Through it all, he holds on to one tangible piece of hope from that terrible day - a painting of a tiny bird chained to its perch. The Goldfinch. The film also stars Oakes Fegley as Young Theo, Aneurin Barnard as Boris, Finn Wolfhard as Young Boris, Sarah Paulson as Xandra, Luke Wilson as Larry, and Jeffrey Wright as Hobie. Check out the trailer below and watch “The Goldfinch” in Philippine cinemas this October.
