Oscar Nominee DARKEST HOUR Opens Exclusively at Ayala Cinemas Starting February 14

Nominated for six major Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor, Focus Features' historical drama about one of the key figures in World War II, "Darkest Hour" will be shown exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Trinoma, Greenbelt 1) starting February 14. "Darkest Hour" is the dramatic and inspiring story of four weeks in 1940 during which Winston Churchill’s courage forever changed the course of world history. With the fall of France imminent, Britain faces its darkest hour as the threat of invasion looms. As the seemingly unstoppable Nazi forces advance and with a huge chunk of its army cornered on the beaches of Dunkirk, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the leadership of the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman). While maneuvering his political rivals, he must confront the ultimate choice: negotiate with Hitler and save the British people at a terrible cost or rally the nation and fight on and be brave against incredible odds. The film also stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane, Ronald Pickup, and Ben Mendelsohn,



"Darkest Hour" is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures and opens exclusively in Ayala Cinemas Trinoma and Greenbelt 1 on February 14.
