This sounds like a title for a local romance-comedy but "Always Be My Maybe" is the latest upcoming film from Netflix starring, Ali Wong, Randall Park, and Daniel Dae Kim. The film revolves around childhood friends Sasha and Marcus who encounter a falling out and don’t speak to each other for 15 years. But when Sasha, now a celebrity chef in Los Angeles, returns to her hometown of San Francisco to open a new restaurant, she runs into her old pal - a happily complacent musician still living at home and working for his dad. Though the two are reluctant to reconnect, they soon find the old sparks — and maybe some new ones — are there. Also starring Michelle Buteau, Vivian Bang, Karan Soni, Charlyne Yi, James Saito, Keanu Reeves, and Lyrics Born. The film officially launches on the streaming platform on May 31, 2019.
