"PROJECT HAIL MARY" Coming to Prime Video on July 3, 2026

One of this year's best films, the sci-fi thriller Project Hail Mary is officially having its online streaming debut on Prime Video on July 3, 2026. Based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir, the cinematic adaptation brings together an powerhouse creative team to deliver a space-survival epic that gives plenty of heart, humor, and high-stakes science.

The film follows Ryland Grace (played by Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling), a junior high school science teacher turned reluctant astronaut. Grace wakes up aboard a spaceship light-years away from Earth with a massive problem: he has amnesia and his crewmates are dead. Without any idea why he is there. As his memories piece-by-piece return, Grace recalls the terrifying truth of his situation.

Project Hail Mary is directed by the visionary duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Known for blending sharp humor with deep emotional stakes, Lord and Miller’s signature style proved to be a perfect match for the adaptation.
