The Great Gatsby 2012 Adaptation Trailer Has Been Outed

From the imaginative mind of Baz Luhrmann ("William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet", "Moulin Rouge!", "Australia") comes the 2012 adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby”. The filmmaker promises to create his own distinctive visual interpretation of the classic story - bringing the period to life in a way that has never been seen before in film. “The Great Gatsby” follows would-be writer Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922. An era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings and sky-rocketing stocks. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio). It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich and their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy. Catch the film's new trailer after the break.

Due to usual MMFF monopoly, "The Great Gatsby" opens January 2013 in the Philippines. “The Great Gatsby” will be distributed in IMAX® 3D, Digital 3D and regular format by Warner Bros. Pictures.
