We are less than two weeks from the release of "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral", the sequel to the hit "Heneral Luna". To keep the momentum of one of the most anticipated local releases this year, TBA Studios has released the short film "Angelito" online and for free on their official Facebook and YouTube pages since August 15, 2018. Originally, the short was released last year exclusively with TBA's romcom release, "I'm Drunk, I Love You". The 20-minute short connects "Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" as it follows Angel Bernal (Tomas Santos), the youngest brother of Heneral Luna's trusted men Jose and Manuel as they flee right after Luna's assassination. Just to be clear, the story is a fictional one but still loosely based on historical events. Catch "Angelito" right now below:
"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" features one of the youngest Generals during the Philippine Revolution and the Philippine-American War and is best known for his last stand at the Battle of Tirad Pass. The film will open in cinemas nationwide starting September 5, 2018.
