Netflix just announced that The Witcher universe is expanding with the limited series "The Witcher: Blood Origin". "Blood Origin" will be a six part, live-action limited series, and a prequel to the well-received and well-loved Netflix series "The Witcher" which released late 2019. The series will be set in an elven world 1200 years before the timeline of "The Witcher" and will tell a story lost to time - the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres” - or when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one. As of today, no details yet on the cast or a release date but the series will be shot in and around the UK and will be produced by showrunner Declan de Barra and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.
