WATCH: THE SILENT SEA Unveils Mysterious and Gripping Main Trailer

The Korean series to cap off a successful Korean campaign from Netflix this year, the main trailer for "The Silent Sea" has finally been released. And oh boy, this looks like its going to sweep the world by storm again. The series is set in the near future wherein an elite team is on a special mission to an abandoned research base on the Moon, as resource depletion has devastated the Earth. But what awaits them is much more than they could have expected.
The trailer reveals that all life on Earth is threatened due to resource depletion. Korea’s Space and Aeronautics Administration finds the answer to the survival of mankind and plans another Moon exploration mission led by an elite team comprised of astrobiologist Song Jian (Bae Doona), team leader Han Yunjae (Gong Yoo), head engineer Ryu Taesuk (Lee Joon), team doctor Doc Hong (Kim Sun-young), head of security Gong Soohyuk (Lee Mu-saeng), and spacecraft pilot Kim Heesun (Lee Sung-wook). Their destination is Balhae Lunar Research Station which was closed down 5 years ago due to an accident. 
Unfortunately, the crew experiences issues with their aircraft and crash lands on the Moon. Needing to wait for a rescue ship, they reach Balhae Lunar Research Station to look for shelter. But as soon as they arrive, they discover dead bodies with unknown causes of death and an unidentified signal of life inside the research station. "The Silent Sea" will be released on December 24, 2021 - only on Netflix.
