GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE Coming to Philippine Cinemas on Feb. 16, 2022

Marvel’s "Ant-Man" Paul Rudd is leading the way for the new cast members being featured in "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" - the sequel to the 80s classic films "Ghostbusters" and "Ghostbusters 2".  Rudd plays Mr. Grooberson, the endearing slacker summer school teacher. Rudd says he instantly fell in love with his character. “One of the things that I liked about Grooberson is that he has no problem talking about how he doesn’t want to be teaching, doesn’t care about it, and doesn’t really care about what the kids do,” he says.  “I thought he was a fun character to play.”

In the film, Grooberson, who happens to be a seismologist, is a cool breeze in dreaded summer school, playing vintage horror movies in class. Rudd was swept up with the original 1984 Ghostbusters mania as a teenager. "I saw it a few times. It was such a big thing, everyone was talking about it at school. Ghostbusters had that magical component that just struck a chord with people."

Joining Paul Rudd is a mix of old and new with Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace part of the new cast to helm the franchise. With Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson making appearances.

In "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" is distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.  Catch it on local cinemas when it releases on Feb. 16, 2022. Use the hashtag #Ghostbusters
