Philippine Adaptation of "It’s Okay To Not Be Okay" Unveils Official Trailer and Releases on July 18, 2025

Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for the Philippine adaptation of It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, offering a first look at this emotionally charged reimagining of the beloved Korean drama. The new series headlines the biggest stars in the country with Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino in a fresh, local retelling of the fan-favorite mental health drama series.

It’s Okay To Not Be Okay explores the emotional complexities of trauma, love, and healing. In this new adaptation, the story centers around a children’s book author with deep-seated emotional scars and severe antisocial tendencies. Her life begins to change when she crosses paths with a compassionate stranger who challenges her to confront the pain she’s long suppressed.

Anne Curtis takes on the role of the emotionally guarded author — her first major series comeback in years. Joshua Garcia plays the man who slowly breaks through her cold facade. While Carlo Aquino joins the cast in a pivotal supporting role. Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, known for her work in emotional, character-driven storytelling, this series marks a notable collaboration between Star Creatives and Netflix.

It’s Okay To Not Be Okay will premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 18, 2025.
