Netflix Unveils "GENIE, MAKE A WISH" Starring Kim Woo-bin and Suzy

What happens when destiny, desire, and a touch of magic collide? Netflix’s upcoming K-drama Genie, Make a Wish is set to answer that question with a unique blend of romance, comedy, and fantasy. Written by acclaimed screenwriter Kim Eun-sook, the series brings together two of Korea’s biggest stars with Kim Woo-bin and Suzy in a tale that is equal parts whimsical and heart-stirring.

Genie, Make a Wish tells the story of Jinn (Kim Woo-bin), a genie who awakens after a thousand years only to find himself bound to a new master, Ka-young (Suzy). What begins as a battle of wills over three wishes soon evolves into something deeper, as the pair grapple with destiny, temptation, and the complicated forms love can take.

Far from the cheerful genie we all know, Jinn is a darker, eccentric figure who tempts humans with three wishes. After a thousand years asleep, he emerges naive about the modern world making his journey both comedic and unpredictable.

The new master, Ka-young is intelligent, and seemingly emotionless. Labeled a “psychopath,” her character is shaped by her grandmother’s strict rules and her village’s high expectations. Beneath her icy demeanor lies a complex woman who might just change the genie’s fate.

Noh Steve Sang-hyun as Soo-hyun – Genie’s brother and rival.

Ko Kyu-phil as Sayyid – Genie’s devoted assistant who hides the form of a black jaguar.
