CreaZion Studios’ ISANG HIMALA and FLOWER GIRL Streaming on Netflix This November

CreaZion Studios proudly brings two acclaimed, female-led Filipino films to Netflix this November: Isang Himala and Flower Girl.

From its successful run at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2024)  where it won 4th Best Picture, Special Jury Prize, Best Supporting Actress (Kakki Teodoro), Best Original Theme Song (“Ang Himala ay Nasa Puso”), and Best Musical Score (Vincent de Jesus), Isang Himala reimagines the world of the 1982 classic Himala through a modern lens. Written by National Artist Ricky Lee and scored by Vincent de Jesus, the film features a stellar ensemble cast led by Aicelle Santos, Kakki Teodoro, and Bituin Escalante, under the direction of Pepe Diokno. It starts streaming on November 6.

Flower Girl, which recently closed the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), stars Sue Ramirez as Ena, a woman on an absurd yet heartfelt journey of self-discovery after offending a trans woman babaylan (played by Kaladkaren) and waking up without a vagina. Written and directed by Patrick Tabada, the film is co-produced with The IdeaFirst Company and Octobertrain. This modern Filipina tale of love, loss, and identity starts streaming on November 20.

“We’re thrilled that Netflix is highlighting our female-led stories,” shared CreaZion Studios CEO RJ Agustin. “These films hold up a mirror to society, and we hope that through this platform, more people will reflect on the modern Filipina’s courage, humor, and humanity.”
