Markiplier's Indie Horror Sensation "IRON LUNG" Arrives in Manila on February 25, 2026

The wait is almost over for Filipino fans. Internet icon Markiplier (Mark Fischbach) is bringing his creative vision to the big screen with the indie horror scifi film, Iron Lung. Originally a minimalist indie game, Iron Lung has been transformed into a cinematic experience that has already taken the US box office by storm. Now, Encore Films Philippines is giving Filipinos a chance to experience the terror officially on the big screen.

Before the movie hits theaters nationwide on February 25, 2026, a series of exclusive fan screenings will be held on February 21 at 5:00 PM. If you want to be among the first to witness Markiplier’s directorial debut in a room full of fellow fans, head to one of these three locations:

Set in a haunting post-apocalyptic future following an event called “The Quiet Rapture”—where all stars and habitable planets have vanished, the film follows a convict named Simon (Markiplier). Welded into a tiny, rusted submarine nicknamed the “Iron Lung,” Simon is sent on a desperate mission to navigate a literal ocean of blood on the barren moon AT-5. 

Despite its roots as a low-budget indie production, Iron Lung has proven to be a massive hit. It earned a staggering $17.8 million during its US opening weekend across over 3,000 cinemas. Critics and fans alike have praised the film for being a faithful, intense adaptation that stays true to the suspense and relentless thrill of the source material.
