"THE RINGS OF POWER" Returns to Prime Video on November 11, 2026

Ready your swords aswe finally have an official return date for Middle-earth. During Amazon’s annual Upfront presentation held last week, Prime Video confirmed that the eagerly awaited third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on November 11, 2026.  As one of Amazon's absolute heaviest hitters, the award-winning series has already attracted over 185 million viewers worldwide and remains a massive driver for new Prime memberships.

If you thought the stakes were high in Season 2, brace yourselves as Season 3 is set to jump forward several years from the previous finale dropping us right into the absolute height of the War of the Elves and Sauron. The upcoming season will focus heavily on the Dark Lord’s ultimate power move which  is seeking to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will, and finally rule Middle-earth.

For those who need a timeline check, The Rings of Power brings J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age to life for the very first time. Set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the drama spans from the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains to the majestic elf capital of Lindon and the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor.

Season3 is once again crafted by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They are joined by a powerhouse production team including executive producers Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell, and executive producer-director Charlotte Brandstrom. Matthew Penry-Davey serves as producer, with Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene, and Andrew Lee co-producing.

With the premiere set for November 11, 2026, you have plenty of time to rewatch (or finally start) the epic journey. All episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
