Made of Honor : Move Review

We didn’t expect this movie to be perfect but we didn’t expect it to be this bad either. It was totally predictable and unsatisfying. There is really nothing new about the story – Tom, a womanizer realizes after sleeping around for years and not getting attached with anyone that he is in love with his best friend Hannah. He realizes this after she leaves for Scotland for 6 weeks and as she comes home and he’s ready to profess his love for her, it seems as if it’s too late as she came home with a fiancé, an almost perfect Duke of Scotland. Hannah makes Tom her Maid of Honor and Tom realizes that he has only a few weeks to stop the wedding and tell Hannah how much he loves her.

The movie is so unoriginal that it makes you feel as if you’ve seen better versions of it in a couple of movies with the same story. The only new thing about this film is probably the actors, McDreamy and Michelle Monaghan who are paired up for the first time. There is really nothing exciting about the movie and the ending was just a huge disappointment. (Spoiler alert) The movie ended with McDreamy storming in the church during the wedding and Hannah realizing that she loves her maid of honor more than her fiancé. How many times have you seen this scene?! Although the whole movie is so ordinary, some of the parts of the film are actually funny and entertaining. But then, it left us feeling that the movie could have given us so much more. We can say that this movie could be one of the worst romantic films this year.

Rating: 2 and a half reels

Why you should watch it:

- Fans of McDreamy would definitely be satisfied with this film

- For those who want to witness some Scottish culture and traditions

Why you shouldn’t watch it:

- If you don’t like romantic flicks, avoid this one

- If you’ve seen one too many of the unrealistic love stories, there is no reason for you to see this one
