James Cameron's 'Avatar' Remastered Back in PH Cinemas on September 21, 2022

We can't believe that it has been almost 13 years since we saw James Cameron's "Avatar" for the very first time. And now that the long-awaited sequels are on their way (finally!), "Avatar" is coming back bigger and better in its remastered form - bringing that epic experience to old and new fans alike.

This re-released version will be in upgraded to 4K with high dynamic range visuals and remastered audio that brings the world Pandora like you've never seen or heard before. "Avatar" Remastered releases ahead of "Avatar: The Way of Water" which has official global release date of December 16, 2022.

In "Avatar", it is 2154 and humans are mining for a rare mineral only found in the planet of Pandora. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is an ex-marine who was wounded and paralyzed while on battle and now given a chance to be able to walk again when he is recruited into the mining company's Avatar program. An Avatar is a mixed breed of human and alien DNA formed to look like the natives of Pandora, the Na'vi. Avatars serve as the "bodies" of humans in the alien planet, with a human mind inside this alien's body. Jake becomes lost when he gets attacked by one of the planet's species on his first mission. He eventually meets Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), a female Na'vi. Jake must choose which side to take - the humans or the Na'vi.
