New Anime Series in the Second Half of 2020

So far, 2020 was a blast introducing new anime series even when the world is facing a global pandemic and anime studios delayed production. Fortunately, there are many anime series that are in the final stages, and we expect their releases in the second part of 2020.

The popularity of the anime series is constantly growing. That’s why we are excited about these new releases, and we expect a lot from the anime production companies.

Let’s go through the upcoming anime series and see what we can expect from this genre.

1. Attack on Titan Season 4

Attack on Titan gained traction with the last two seasons, and this series became very popular. The series takes place in the apocalyptic future, where humanity is terrorized by a giant humanoid over a century.

The last series ended when humanity finally found something to fight back these giants and regain their freedom. We expect season 4 to be even more exciting than previous ones. The release date is scheduled to be released in October 2020, and fans are expecting a lot of changes in terms of design for this season.

2. Fire Force Season 2

Fan’s favorite Japanese firefighters are back for the second season, even hotter than before. This series follows Shinra Kusakabe, a teenager that has the ability to ignite his feet. That is why he is nicknamed Devi’s Footprints. The first series was very popular as oddly enough, Shinra joins the pyrokinetic firefighters in the battle against Infernals.

Fire Force 2 was released in July, and it is the perfect series to fuel your anime passion.

3. Uzumaki

This series is the latest and most exciting screen adaptation we’ve seen from Junji Ito’s work. It is a unique series with unusual animation as they renewed master of horror manga. The only drawback of this series is the lack of episodes. The first series has only four episodes. This is definitely a very creepy series centered on a small Japanese town, where supernatural spirals are happening.

They didn’t announce the exact release date of Uzumaki, but sources suggest that we will see the reveal this Fall.

4. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Demon Slayer is probably the most hyped and talked about anime series in the past year. It follows a kind-hearted boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose entire family was slaughtered by demons. The added fuel to the plot, his younger sister, was turned into a demon.

Tanjiro is on a mission to protect others from such tragedies and save his sister. It is definitely an exciting series, which has a vibrant art and a lot of action.

Since the original series gain a lot of popularity, they’ve decided to continue the story in a full movie.

This movie will pick up when the anime series left off. Tanjiro teams up with other demon slayers as they investigate the disappearances of the passengers on Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer is scheduled for 16 October 2020, and fans cannot wait to see the action.

5. The God of High School

Following the footsteps of Noblesse, this series is a great anime adaptation. The story is about a 17-year old high school student named Jin Mo-Ri, who is invited to join a martial arts event that brings all martial artists together.

The tournament is called God of High School, and Mo-Ri decides to join. The grand prize of the tournament is a granted wish by the shadowy corporation that supports the tournament.

This series was released in July 2020 and quickly gained popularity.

Final Words

The anime genre is rising faster than the horses on the TwinSpires.com odds for the Kentucky Derby 2020. We’ve seen great anima adaptations so far, and this momentum is not going to stop in the future. We are excited to see so many new creations that are in production.
